This article demonstrates how the construction of a strategic partnership between Brazil
and the Arab World can achieve the dual objective of increasing Brazilian international
trade and contributing to the food security in the Arab countries. Using a simple and yet
rigorous document analysis methodology, the article concludes that a strategic partnership
could upgrade Arab-Brazilian trade and economic relations and that Brazil should invest
in the export potential of small and medium-sized companies, which may promote the
necessary diversification of the country’s exports to the Arab World.
