How important is diplomacy in trade wars? Conventional theories focus on shared interests
in reversing the negative impact on the welfare of the population. However, they disregard
the decision-making processes of trade wars. Taking trade war as Nash’s non-cooperative
games expands the understanding of how negotiators’ expectations are formed and how
they influence perceptions about dominant strategies.
