De conferência em conferência: a Ásia aproximando-se da África

Abstract

A recente Conferência Internacional de Tóquio para o Desenvolvimento de África, que teve lugar na última semana de Maio de 2008, em Yokohama, no Japão, contou com a presença de pelo menos 36 Chefes de Estado africanos. Esta conferência que se realiza na esteira de outras conferências, sobretudo Pequim, China, 2006, reacendeu o debate em torno do interesse dos asiáticos pelo continente africano. Analogamente, parece ficar evidente que o continente africano inclina-se, em definitivo, para a Ásia.
